Terms and Conditions
Delivery
- Your order will be delivered between 9.00am and 5.00p.m. unless by prior agreement between ourselves and the customer.
- Please let us know if you require delivery before a specific time. This may be possible.
- It is the customers' responsibility to ensure that you have given us correct delivery information, and that someone is available to receive your cake or (if the cake has already been paid for) where to leave the cake if not at home.
- If the recipient is not in, we will attempt to leave the order with a neighbour unless otherwise advised.
- Please note that orders being sent to business addresses, hospitals or hotels will be left at reception.
- Cakes ordered for postal delivery will only be dispatched once full payment has been received.
- All products are subject to availability. When an item is out of stock, we will endeavour to contact you and offer an alternative.
Delivery process
- In the unlikely event that your cakes are lost during transit, you must notify us within 48 hours of expected delivery. Compensation may be available, up to a maximum of the price paid by the customer, if the cakes cannot be traced and are confirmed as lost by the carriers.
- Your cakes will be very carefully packaged so that they arrive in perfect condition. In the unlikely event that the cakes appear to have been damaged during transit, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt. Any replacement products, refunds or compensation will be considered, and may be granted at our discretion and only in the event that the cakes are damaged beyond reasonable use. We will require evidence of any damage, which must be received by us within 7 days of the original delivery. This evidence may be in the form of photographs, or by returning the goods to us and must include the original packaging.
Cancelling an order
- Our cakes are made to order and personalised to your specifications, orders cannot be cancelled once cakes have been made. However, should you wish to change or cancel your order at any time please contact us immediately and we will do our best to meet your needs.
General
- By placing an order with Humble Cake, either through our website, over the telephone, or by any other medium you are agreeing to these terms.
- Customers should be aware that cakes that contain nuts are indicated, but the presence of nuts in our kitchen means there is a small possibility that all products may contain traces of nuts.
- Please remember that all cakes are hand-made and will therefore vary in shape and size.
- Images on the website are for illustrative purposes only.
- Cakes to Share requires a minimum commitment of four weeks. Payment is on delivery of the first cake by cash or cheque. Thereafter payment for the next four weeks cakes is due one week prior to the previous subscription expiring.
- All cakes remain the property of Humble Cake until paid for in full.
- Payment is by cash or cheque.
