Homemade Beef Burgers
Ingredients
- 450g/1lb minced beef steak mince,
- 1 onion, finely chopped,
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed,
- ¼ teaspoons ground chilli,
- 3 tablespoons of chopped fresh herbs,
- 1 small egg, beaten,
- Salt and pepper, to taste.
Method
- In a large bowl mix all the ingredients together thoroughly.
- Depending on how big you want your burgers, divide the mixture into equal
size balls. Flatten the balls out so they are about 1cm thick.
- To cook, heat a frying pan on a high heat, with a little oil and cook
the burgers in batches for approx. 4 mins on each side until cooked all
the way through, keep the burgers warm in a low oven while you finish cooking
the remainder. Alternatively cook on a hot barbeque; again ensure all the
burgers are cooked through.
