Fantastic Food, Prepared With Passion

Based on the border of Suffolk and Norfolk in the beautiful Waveney Valley- a part of England that seems to stand still whilst the rest of the world rushes by, Humble Cake has grown from a traditional cake baking company, and now operates two cafés, an outside catering service for small events as well as retaining it’s cake making business. Although the company has expanded, it still retains it’s original philosophy – to use the highest quality ingredients that are wherever possible locally sourced and seasonal.

Every day our kitchen and bake house are full of tantalising sights, sounds and smells as we lovingly prepare the food; ingredients supplied by great local producers – people who share our passion for quality. Read more about Humble Cake.

Our Cafés

Earsham Street Café

Nestling in the centre of the historic market town of Bungay and surrounded by many individual and specialist shops, some of which have been established for generations, Earsham Street Café is ideal to visit on its own or can be combined with a shopping trip. Earsham Street Café is a 17th Century building bursting with character and enjoying a colourful past, having seen service as an inn with a cock fighting pit, a bookmakers, a bazaar and a traditional tearooms- but now it’s home to our café.

Our friendly staff will welcome you and introduce you to our regularly changing menus influenced by the seasons and availability of local ingredients. All home cooked, even the jams and chutneys are made in-house. As you would expect excellent Fairtrade coffee, tea and locally produced cold drinks are served all day. We also have a great choice for vegetarians. Gluten and dairy-free cake and meals are also available. The Café is fully licenced for the sale of alcohol and offers a select range of local beers and cider, as well as wine.

The former cock fighting pit is now a hidden courtyard garden with outside seating, providing a delightful sunny area for alfresco dining .Children are most welcome and well behaved Dogs are welcome in the Courtyard area – making The Earsham Street Café a great destination to bring the family, meet a friend or just relax and read our magazines and papers with a refreshing cup of tea. We hope you enjoy your visit.

The Willows Café

Based at Three Willows Garden Centre on the outskirts of Bungay – The Willows Café provides an ideal opportunity to sample a great choice of delicious cakes, a cream tea or a light lunch before or after you have enjoyed a browse around the garden centre. There is plentiful car parking.

You can be assured that whatever you choose to eat or drink, it will be of the highest quality and freshly made.
